Health Science

Health Science is expected to be one of the fastest-growing occupational areas in the next few years. Students will be introduced to careers directly involving patients and also the support and manufacturing of health related products and tools.  This is a very broad field with careers typically in high demand and well compensated.

There are three paths in this cluster.

Pharmacy Technician

Students completing this path will be well prepared for Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) Certification and perform tasks under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Nursing

Students completing this path will be well prepared for the National Occupational Competency Testing Institute (NOCTI) Health Assisting Exam or the Certified Nursing Assistant (CAN) Certification and provide basic care to patients in the areas of hygiene, daily living, and transportation.

Medical Assisting

Students completing this path will be well prepared for the National Occupational Testing Institute (NOCTI) Medical Assisting Exam or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Certification and responsible for performing physician support services in offices, clinics, or other healthcare facilities.
