Informational Technology is currently the fastest growing cluster. Tasks in this field include the development, maintenance, and use of computer systems, software and networking for the processing, security, and distribution of data.   This is a broadly used term with many avenues of employment focusing on hardware, software, and networking.

There are 3 paths in this cluster.

Information Support and Services

Students completing this path will be well prepared for National Occupational Competency Testing Institute (NOCTI) Information Support and Serves Exam or CompTIAA+, Network+, and Security+ Certifications.  Courses include IT and Manufacturing Explorations, A+ Computer Management, Network+ Guide to Networks and Security+.

Programming and Software Support

Students completing this path will be well prepared for National Occupational Competency Testing Institute (NOCTI) Computer Programming Exam or Java Project Portfolio.  Courses include IT and Manufacturing Explorations, Introduction to Computer Science, Programming Logic and Design, and Java Programming.

Web and Digital Communications

Students completing this path will be well prepared for National Occupational Competency Testing Institute (NOCTI) Web Design Exam and Adobe Certified Associate (ACA) Certifications.  Courses include IT and Manufacturing Explorations, Digital Arts, and Various Adobe Certification Programs.
